We don't think so. We believe evidence-based medicine (EBM) has the care of individual patients as it's top priority, asking, "What's the best course of action for this patient, in these circumstances, at this point in their illness or condition?"
We believe EBM:
-Is characterized by expert judgement rather than mechanical rule following
-Shares decisions with patients through meaningful conversations
-Applies these principles at the community level for evidence- based public health
Does this come at the expense of individualized patient decisions?
